2018 brings the 1000 Islands Writers Festival into its fourth year. To build on the success of previous years, we have listened to our community of avid readers to create an exciting lineup of talented authors and illustrators for all ages and interests.
Since our very first event in 2015, our festival patron, two-time Leacock Medal winner Terry Fallis, has played a pivotal role in the success of our festival. Terry’s sense of humour combined with his clever eloquence have endeared him to Canadians from coast to coast. Our hearts tie quickly to the plights of his characters, and the laughter he draws from us with each new exploit leaves us all craving more. We are so pleased that Terry will return to delight his many fans here in the 1000 Islands this spring. The launch of One Brother Shy at our 2017 festival opening was a highlight last year. This year Terry’s fans will be eager to hear more about Terry’s latest work, If at First You Succeed, due to be published in 2019.
Our list of featured authors who will be attending this year continues to grow and we are excited to reveal the list to all our festival goers. Watch for more details in February.
