Claudia Dávila writes, illustrates and designs books for children of all ages, with stories and themes that encourage children to be strong, thoughtful, compassionate and responsible people. Her first published graphic novels Luz Sees the Light and Luz Makes a Splash encourage kids to be proactive in making their neighbourhoods Earth-friendly, while her picture book Super Red Riding Hood takes apart the classic child’s tale and empowers the girl hero to a face-off with the wolf. Her latest illustration work in the biographical graphic novel Child Soldier brings to life the experiences of the Congolese author.
Born in Santiago, Chile, Claudia now makes her home in Toronto, Canada, with her husband Michael Cho and their two children.
